My buddies

I have been sick all week and reluctantly stayed home from church this evening. Brooke stayed with me. I had to snap a picture of her when she told me, "Don't worry mama, baby and I will be your buddies."

How many parents of three children seven and under take their kids out for coffee most every Friday night? Well, Gary and I do, and the kids love it. They particularly like it if we go to Barnes and Nobles, because then they get to play. This is a picture of Brooke and Andrew outside of our favorite spot. I am going to have to start ordering a venti Frappucino because I always have to share mine :)

Kicked out of Sunday school ??????

Our family loves Sundays! One thing I love is when the kids are all ready for church and they sit around the CD player and listen to and sing along with "Patch the Pirate." I grew up hearing these same songs, and it is fun to hear my kids now singing them. It is not just on Sunday mornings, either.....There is nothing like hearing Brooke sing at the top of her lungs, "Wiggle worm, don't bother me. We'll have a catastrophe. Then I kicked him out of Sunday school."

Sleeping through the Night

Sleeping through the night is usually a topic of discussion among mothers with newborns, but we have been up each night the last week with Brooke. She has had the flu and a bad case of the coughs. I am celebrating today because last night was Brooke's first night of the week to sleep in her own bed and make it through the whole night.
