I Love Spring!

If you have ever been to my site before, you will notice the change in background. I am not going to keep it forever, but I am very much a lover of spring. Even here in Southern California, we do notice a change in the weather this time of year. I change my background in celebration of the current season. I am hoping to design my own background once spring wears out. Stay posted to see how that endeavor works out :) Happy Spring to each one!

Happy Easter Sunday

What a beautiful resurrection Sunday we had here in Southern California. I sent the kids on a scavenger hunt this morning to find their Easter baskets. I love church services on Easter. (I love my church every Sunday, but especially on Easter Sunday.) The kids enjoyed the petting zoo outside after the morning service, and the scavenger hunt after our Easter dinner. It would have been fun to share with all of our long distance family, but instead we send the pictures :(

Good Friday Jog-a-thon

Wesley is taking lap #21---his "cool down" lap. He doesn't look too worn out or tired, does he???

Andrew is ready to go! This is the end of his very first lap. He actually astounded me and looked just as fresh and energized after lap#20. After it was done, Andrew said, "That was easy!" Ventura Missionary School has an annual jog-a-thon to raise money for extra projects for the students. Today, Good Friday, was a half day of school, and since some of the time was spent outside at the jog-a-thon, the boys were excited about their little "break." Thanks to both gramma and mamaw (and of course, poppa and papaw) for their generous support of their grandsons. They both made the full 20 laps!

The girls are on spring break!

I started spring break last Thursday and am off this entire week. Needless to say, I have been enjoying my free time. The boys are still in school, so it is spring break for the girls. We have been shopping, out for ice cream (Brooke's favorite), and today we visited the children's museum in Oxnard. The pictures below are of Brooke's time at the museum. (P.S. She likes her new shirt, gramma!)

Check out my website!

I just finished taking a class online on designing web pages with Dreamweaver. It was a fun class to take, but the main reason I did it was to be able to learn to create decent web pages for school and/or our family. I know none of you are my students, but do me a favor and check out my school web page. I would love to hear any comments, especially if something weird happens in your window. Just click on the link, and it should take you there: http://academic.venturacollege.edu/mbeard/index.html
