Santa Barbara Museum of Natural History

We took a short trip up to Santa Barbara and visited the museum of Natural History. Wesley had gone there during school for a field trip, and he thought it would be a fun place for us all to visit. My favorite part was the butterfly greenhouse. There were thousands of butterflies just flying freely around the greenhouse. I have never seen so many kinds in one place; it was pretty! I think the kids most enjoyed the area of "grossology." It explained and had activities relating to burping and other not-so-pleasant things.

What an interesting place! My kids would have liked the "grossology" place, too :) Maybe it's in the blood!

We went to the Butterfly House on Mackinac Island, and it was an amazing experience even for us four adults! I'm SO glad your kids had a good time! I love the expression in the butterfly cut-out. Oh yeah, he's excited!!!
